November 6-8, 2009

P.D. Eastman's classic children's book comes to life on stage in an exploration of movement, color and space. A loveable pack of dogs delve into life with gusto, creating a visual spectacle for the audience to feast upon.  Watch them drive cars, dance, have a party, take a wonderful name, and enjoy being dogs! Suitable for all ages, but especially those 11 and under.

SPRING WORKSHOP - DISNEY'S MULAN, JR.

Join us as we cover the fundamentals of stage acting, including voice, movement, character formation and theatre games. Plus, there's a recital at the end of the workshop to show off what we've learned. For the student actor, 2nd grade and up. Last year, we performed the Aristocats, Jr. as our recital. STILL LIFE WITH IRIS

May 14-16, 2010

Still Life With Iris chronicles a young girl's quest to regain her memory and with it, her home. Iris meets a young Mozart, Annabel Lee, a Flower Painter, a Thunder Maker, and a cast of fantastical characters. Through their help, she succeeds in finding herself, the power of faith and the courage of persistence.

The most famous children's theatre in the world teams up with VLA again to do the impossible: stage a musical in just six days! Sixty kids will meet on Monday and perform twice on Saturday. Past plays have included Jack in the Beanstalk, The Little Mermaid, Rumplestiltskin, The Wizard of Oz --check back in February to see what this season will bring!

Join us for a spectaculary display of theatre wizardry the likes of which we've never seen on a Killeen stage.

Five of Kipling’s tales are brought vividly to life in this humorous and charming musical. The result is a musical delight, bringing to life Kipling's timeless masterpiece.  This performance is the recital show from the Summer Music Theatre Workshop.
